This story is about Honor Holland and Tom Barlow. Honor has been best friends with benefits to Brogan for a lot of years. When she decides that she wants more he rejects her. Only 3 weeks later he becomes engaged to her best friend. She agrees to be set up on a blind date with Tom Barlow. Tom is from England and only wants to be near his "unofficial" stepson Charlie but his work visa is about to expire. In a moment of impulsiveness Honor agrees to help Tom get his green card by marrying him.
MY REVIEW:
There is just so much to love about this book that I don't even know where to start! It was so funny at parts that it had me laughing out loud and other parts that had me teary eyed. You really root for Honor and Tom to end up together.
I really loved Tom! Maybe it's the whole British thing, but I think it was his humor throughout the whole story. The family dynamics between the Holland family are just amazing. Pru is hysterical with all of her comments about her husband Carl. I even liked Honor's dog Spike or Ratty as Tom called her.
It is no secret that Kristan Higgins is one of my favorite authors. I have read every book by her and I think that they just keep getting better. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a good Contemporary Romance.
The Perfect Match is the second book in the Blue Heron Series. I recommend that you read the first book in the series The Best Man before you read this book. It can be read as a stand alone book but you get a better understanding of the family dynamics if you read them in order.
